Gabriela Mendieta y Fabrizio Pauta son dos jóvenes emprendedores lojanos, licenciados en gastronomía y propietarios del emprendimiento DON&ROLL, donas y rollos un producto que nació oficialmente en agosto de 2018 como una marca registrada en repostería.

Estos jóvenes con muchas ambiciones culminaron  sus estudios en la ciudad de Cuenca y pese a tener sus vidas hechas en la ciudad decidieron retornar a Loja para poner en práctica una idea de negocio que de diversidad a nuestra ciudad.

Gabriela copropietaria del producto nos cuenta porque DON&ROLL es diferente a otras donas y rollos que expiden en la ciudad. “La masa que utilizamos para elaborar nuestro producto tiene una receta única que hace a nuestro producto exquisito”, nos cuenta.

La cualidad esencial de este producto nace con la iniciativa de posicionarse con sello lojano como pioneros en este tipo de dulces, y en un futuro expedir un producto que caracterice la diversidad y cualidades de todo lojano, calidad y un buen servicio.

 El primer pre-lanzamiento del producto lo realizaron en la feria Internacional de Loja.  Gabriela nos comenta que al ser esta la apertura de un producto que había costado mucho esfuerzo y dedicación los nervios la invadían pues la aceptación de su producto daría esperanza de convertir a DON&ROLL en una marca factible para producir.

Al principio estos jóvenes emprendedores realizaban sus productos de manera esporádica bajo sus nombres personales para familiares y amigos, pero el sabor y calidad de este producto hicieron que quienes probaran estos dulces, sin dudarlo quisieran repetir.

Estos factores hicieron que Gabriela y Fabrizio tomaran la decisión final de establecerse en el mercado con una marca registrada diferente, que apueste por la gente joven amante del dulce.

Su modelo de negocio es través de su página oficial como DON&ROLL en redes sociales, Facebook e Instagram, bajo pedido estos expertos planean vender un producto fresco, de calidad y a tiempo.

“No nos gustaría que el producto se almacene, el objetivo es que el cliente pueda degustar el producto casi recién salido del horno, es por esto que nuestras entregas son  a domicilio”, enfatiza Gabriela.

El nombre de la marca DON&ROLL nace de las iniciales de los dos productos donas y rollos;  el logo es un símbolo del rock and roll puesto que son amantes de este género musical y su slogan: “música para tu paladar” nació de un juego de palabras para dar a entender al consumidor que su público objetivo son niños y jóvenes amantes del dulce.

Actualmente, cuentan con una presentación estándar,  con una medida de caja para tres unidades en donde van las donas, rollos de canela o mixto, de igual manera la presentación individual para una sola persona.

En su elaboración hay varios tipos de sabores, las donas presentan seis tipos de glaseados diferentes: chocolate negro, chocolate blanco, chocolate con avellana, manjar con leche, tiramisú y oreo.

El cliente puede personalizar el producto que desea llevar, puesto que la creatividad incentiva a estos emprendedores a crear nuevos modelos para su producto. Su objetivo es brindar un producto de calidad y un servicio oportuno

 “Yo pienso que no todo en la vida debería ser preocupaciones y un dulce podría ser la solución para un momento de tensión”, nos dice Gabriela.

En cuanto a los rollos de canela, estos emprendedores vieron la oportunidad de preponderar un producto que no es tan conocido en la ciudad para elaborarlo con sabores únicos para el gusto del cliente, la elaboración requiere de otro tipo de masa que se enrolla con un relleno diferente, presentando dos tipos de sabores: el clásico de canela y manzana, y nuez con cacao.

Sus aspiraciones a futuro son establecerse en un local donde puedan expedir su producto y este a disposición del cliente a cualquier hora del día.
